A timeless wall fountain designed so that water flows from a lion’s mouth into a half octagonal pool before recirculating. The Veneto Wall Fountain is an exclusive ORNAMENTI design incorporating bold scroll details above the lion mask. This design is carved by Italian craftsmen near the city of Vicenza in the Veneto – known as the City of Andrea Palladio. Palladio (1508-1580) worked as a stonemason himself before becoming a hugely influential classical architect, making Vicenza his home and designing many villas in the Veneto region of Italy. The associated stone masonry skills and quarries survive to this day and can now be enjoyed through unique designs in the ORNAMENTI collection.
The Veneto Wall Fountain, with its charming lion mask, can be positioned against a wall as the focal point in a courtyard or to terminate a view. The fountain could also be used to enhance a large orangery or garden room where the sound of running water would provide an air of tranquillity. Pump, plumbing and liner not supplied, leaving the client to select the optimum equipment for each specific project. Supplied new with an antique patina.
