As an example, entirely in-house, Lapicida can scan any object, from an existing priceless statue to a classic car, and render it in 3D using sophisticated software.
Then, using one of the world’s largest 5-Axis CNC Shaping Mills, the object is then shaped from a single block of stone up to 25-tonnes in weight, before being hand-finished by Lapicida master stonemasons. This service, available to all, allows our clients to realise their own designs in stone or marble. Completed projects have included bespoke stone fireplaces, statues, baths and even cars.
ORNAMENTI can also source special garden and interior designs from around the world – from fine Italian terracotta to robust English leadwork.
Over recent years, Lapicida has increasingly worked with clients to provide bespoke art installations at prestige locations ranging from the Royal Horticultural Society’s RHS Harlow Carr Garden to Chatsworth House where Sir Christopher Le Brun’s magnificent Maro sculpture was installed.
