The Acanthus Urn and Pedestal is an absolute classic planter design, incorporating acanthus scrolls in a frieze around the body with egg and dart motifs to the rim. The lower part of this classic krater-shaped urn is enhanced with gadrooning and two decorative handles. The Acanthus Urn stands on a square pedestal, making it ideal for positioning either side of an entrance, corridor or path. The design can also be used in series along a terrace or colonnade. Can be planted or left unplanted. Handmade for ORNAMENTI by Tuscan craftsmen using frost-resistant Galestro clay.

With this specific design care must be taken during assembly as the joint between neck and bowl is hand finished and consequently uneven. We recommend the bowl should be levelled and then secured to the neck by grouting with polyester resin or similar (not supplied). Approx height of Urn without pedestal: 720mm.
