Replicating traditional Bugadier Pots that were originally used for laundry in Provence, today the Bugadier Pot is highly sought after as a decorative accessory. With an antique Provence patina and with rustic glaze around the collar, Bugadier Pots are ideal for an entranceway or hallway, orangery, conservatory or garden room. Suitable for floral planting or specimen plants the Bugadier Pot is decorated with a braided motif typical of Provence and would enhance a contemporary or traditional schemes.
Standing in the foothills of the Cevennes, within the historic Languedoc region of France, the village of Anduze has been renowned for its pottery since the 17th century. It is from Anduze that ORNAMENTI has sourced a collection of artisan-made Bugadier Jars and other pottery designs. Bugadier Jars with a glaze are not designed for the extremes of the British climate and should be considered for interior use only, unless positioned in a garden during the summer months only.
